But the most profound shift was a nervous system reset – a felt sense of safety in my body—and trauma integration through compassionate inquiry. This is something we need to talk about more in corporate spaces.
Through my own struggles as a leader, I came to understand something simple yet fundamental: at the heart of who we are is a tension. Our nervous system’s primary role is to keep us safe and alive – not happy. And yet, our essence, who we are at the core, is to learn and grow, to move toward self-actualization. Holding that tension requires consciousness.
